As I stroll beneath the ice-tinged street light glare
I raise the memory of old times to the heights of myths.
With you by my side we could conquer this night with ease.
We would storm back down the old streets, and invade the old haunts.
We would smash through the wires, and invoke old desires
So let glasses ascend in a toast to the life-long friends

But then, the last time you rolled into town,
both of us had little to say, except
"I had a great time, call me before
you leave and we will do this again."
I knew we wouldn't do it again.
